Instructions : Ok here’s and easy and
quick way to fix your Masterpiece Starscream/Skywarp because lets
face it these two just look fucking stupid with two pieces of F15
Jet just hanging off there hip area. You will need the following
tools to complete this task – Stanley Knife / Sand Paper / Screw
Driver / Metallic Glue or VERY strong super glue / hand saw.
Here are the first few steps that will be explained in the
instructions here AND in the pictures labeled below. Picture one
shows currently how Starscream and Skywarp look……pretty dumb with
two Jet pieces hanging off there sides. The currently look of the
toy is just stupid I mean seriously what the fuck were Hasbro and
Takara thinking when they did this considering the mould for this
toy had ALREADY been done as shown in the completed pictures below.
Picture four shows the tools you will need (I forgot to take
a picture of the sand paper but I used a FINE quality sand paper for
this) I used a small hand saw and for the glue I used GamesWorkshop
modeling glue which usually hardens within about 10 Minutes or so.
Picture Five shows what we first need to do, remove the two
jet pieces from the figures hips and place them side by side. As
shown in picture seven take one of the jet pieces and pick up
your Stanley knife as shown in picture eight and begin to cut
away the access bulk area which is shown in picture nine.
Picture Ten shows how both the jet pieces should look
together once you have removed the extra plastic areas on the back
ends.
The next part of this requires a little more steady hands. Picture
Eleven shows originally were the HOLE is that currently
attaches to Starscream/Skywarp's legs when in Jet mode. Below that
there is a SCREW which you need to remove, so grab your screw driver
and remove the screw as shown.
Picture Twelve shows the two jet pieces on there fronts, the
line shows were to begin sawing off the parts and pictures Thirteen
and fourteen show how both side jet pieces should look once you have
cut them both off. Once this is done get your sand paper and slowly
sand off the access pieces of plastic left remaining so the pieces
should be smooth and not rough.
Picture Sixteen shows the lumps on Starscream/Skywarp's side
which now just look like left over tumors which need to be removed.
Again grab your saw and push the body section upwards and try and
move the legs far away from were your trying to cut (you can unscrew
the legs but I found you can do the cutting without removal of the
legs) I found it easier if you make it as if the figure is kicking
side ways so you get a decent amount of room to cut the lumps off.
Once removed the waist should look as shown in picture seventeen.
Almost finished now, look at the hands of the figure and look at the
small piece of plastic on the arm area because again this needs
removing in order for the figure to transform ok. Get you saw and
cut off the part shown in picture eighteen. One done it will
look like what’s in picture nineteen.
Now going back to those two pieces of jet you cut off from the
original jet pieces. Take those and get your Glue and stick them
onto the area shown in picture twenty one and twenty two. Once you
have done this with both parts you should have what is shown in
picture twenty three. Leave this to dry for at least 30
minutes or more.
Now get the two pieces of Jet you have left and with the HOLE you
made from the SCREW you removed place THAT into the PEG on
Starscream/Skywarp's LEG area. Basically your attaching the jet
piece with the NEW hole YOU made by removing the screw. You will
find that with the access piece of jet you removed from the start
and with the new hold made in the jet piece that the parts will now
slot in together perfectly and hold together perfectly because BOTH
the holes are the same size as each other. Your Masterpiece figure
can now stand up perfectly with both the jet pieces in place like
how they were originally meant to be.
Picture Twenty Five shows how the final look of the figure in
robot mode should look and how easily it is for the figure to stand
normally. For some reason a lot of people who tried to mod this
figure chose to fuck up Starscream/Skywarp's leg area and screw in a
massive screw into the actual leg area and snap off the insides of
his jet pieces (the part INSIDE the black area of the legs) which is
not needed and shown here.
Picture twenty Six to Thirty show the figure can
transform perfectly well and easily now you have removed those extra
pieces that were explained above. Once the glue has dried you can
transform the figure just as easily as you did before. When it comes
to the to two jet pieces you WILL need to take them OFF the HOLE
that YOU made and attach them to the ORIGINAL hole that was there
before you did anything. All the parts will hold together perfectly
and you should have Masterpiece Starscream/Skywarp as they way they
were meant to be now. |
